Kwella Trio is a trio with a rotating rhythm section, and the repertoire is a mix of Kwella's own compositions, swinging jazz standards, and funky grooves. The trio loves both the heartfelt, groove, swing and nerve and they place great importance on interplay, interaction and unpredictability.

Throughout his long career, Kwella has played everything from traditional jazz to experimental electronic music and the inspiration from all these genres can be heard in the trio's music.
The musicians in the trio have been part of the Danish jazz scene for many years and from their many years of combined experience arises an intense interplay and a present expression.

Jens Christian Kwella is currently promoting the new album GuitarRama Jazzical with new music for electric and classical guitar. 
He has an extensive resume and has played with stars such as Curtis Steigers (US), Randy Brecker (US), Marc Johnson (US), and Eliane Elias (BR). 

The critics have written, among other things: "Kwella is an extremely experienced and driven guitarist who has a strong technical foundation to stand on and therefore has the calmness and superiority to strike a fine balance between technique, the heartfelt and presence."
